We were just engaging in a discourse on the internet, and as I've stated previously, this is supposed to be a voluntary exchange where one is free to opt out at any time. It seems to me that you and your wife had a need to act out this script in order to stabilize your relationship (c.f Karpman drama triangle) and I find this sad and not something to emulate, which caused me to adopt a sympathetic daughterly attitude towards you to my own blind detriment (of course this catered to my own needs also since I am lonely and isolated.) Sure, I enjoy your writing but I feel like I paid quite a high price for that.
